Workspace

Workspace

The trade page is a windowed workspace: open any combination of the modules below, arrange them however you work, and the layout sticks.

Modules

The Add Module menu on the toolbar is one grid, in alphabetical order, and each tile's tooltip names its category — what the module is for: market data, trading, strategies, prediction markets. The sections below go by category.

DataGrid Query data displayed in a grid
Time & Sales Real-time trade tape
Watchlist Live quotes for saved symbol lists

Prediction markets

Event contracts, on brokers that offer them (see Brokers).

Event Browser Browse prediction-market events; open one to see its outcomes as a ladder and trade either side, or request quotes for size from its sidebar

Layout & persistence

Modules open as tabs inside windows you can split, resize, and rearrange on the canvas. Drag a module from the toolbar onto the grid to place it in a new window, or drop it into an existing window to add it as a tab. Your entire layout — window positions, open tabs, chart symbols and settings, sidebar state, theme — auto-saves and restores exactly as you left it, across reloads and across devices.

Two ways to work

The first time you sign in, Vectaris asks how you want to drive the workspace. The choice is Settings → Workspace → Trade from, and you can change it any time.

  • Sidebar. Files, the order ticket and the assistant are panes beside your modules. There is one order ticket, and a click on a chart price, a ladder level, an option strike or an event outcome fills it in. Your saved workspaces, watchlists and scripts are a file tree in the same sidebar. Choose which panes show, and in what order, under Sidebar Panes, or drag a pane by its titlebar; the list and the sidebar are one order.
  • Modules. Every chart, ladder, options chain and tape carries a trade rail under its tab strip: Sell at the live bid, Buy at the live ask, the spread, a size, and your open position with its P&L and a Close. Either button opens the order ticket as a dialog for that module's symbol with the side, size and price filled in, and a click on a price does the same. Research views — Analyze, DataGrid and Watchlist — show symbols but never carry trade buttons. Workspaces are switched from a selector in the toolbar, and the sidebar holds only the assistant — or nothing, if you hide that pane too.

Under either, Settings → Workspace → Sidebar position docks the sidebar on the left or the right, and Ctrl+B collapses it. The sidebar is yours rather than a workspace's: whether it is folded, which panes are open, their order and their heights all stay exactly as they are when you switch workspaces.

Direct Trading Mode

Whichever way you work, trading flows through the order ticket — it resolves your account, symbol and routing before you submit, and a Buy or Sell on a module only opens it. Direct-click trade controls built into individual modules, like the SuperDOM ladder's Direct Trading Mode (trade buttons + click submits) and the Options Chain's submit-on-click, stay off unless you turn them on in that module's own settings; they default to off, so an accidental click on the ladder or chain can't send an order.
