Getting started
Vectaris is a browser trading workspace: connect your broker accounts, chart and query data, write strategies and indicators, backtest them, and trade the survivors — all from one screen.
What Vectaris is
Vectaris is a unified trading workspace: connect every broker account, then trade, monitor, and analyze from one screen instead of juggling per-broker platforms. Beyond execution, it carries a full research pipeline — build strategies and validate them with local backtests, walk-forward analysis, and portfolio tests, in the same workspace. The unifying idea is one screen, every account: stocks and options, crypto, futures, and event contracts, across seven connected brokers, without leaving the workspace.
Open the platform to sign in with an existing account, or create one if you're new. Three ways in, all landing on the same account:
- Email and password — the account you created.
- Continue with Google — a Google sign-in on the same address as an existing account links the two, so either works from then on.
- Sign in with a passkey — your device's fingerprint, face or PIN, or a hardware key, instead of a password. Add passkeys from Security (the shield in the toolbar) once signed in; each one belongs to the device or password manager it was made on, so name them.
Everything runs in your browser; broker credentials are encrypted and used only to route your own orders — see Brokers for how connecting works.
Two-step verification
Two-step verification is off by default and yours to turn on. Open Security (the shield in the toolbar) and add an authenticator app: scan the QR code with Google Authenticator, 1Password, Authy or any app that produces six-digit codes, then confirm with the code it shows.
With it in place, every sign-in — password, Google or passkey — asks for the code before the workspace opens, and the API refuses sessions that skipped it. Turning it on signs out your other devices. Remove the authenticator from the same panel to turn it off again. A passkey is a way to sign in, not a second step; the code is still asked for after it.
The workspace in 60 seconds
The entire product lives at /trade, a full-screen, windowed workspace. Add a module — Chart,
DataGrid, SuperDOM, and the rest — from the toolbar: click a tile, or drag it onto the canvas to
place it exactly where you want. The sidebar is a file manager that holds your saved strategies
and indicators. Your layout persists automatically: window positions, open tabs, symbols, and
settings are saved and synced to your account, so the workspace looks the same the next time you
open it, on any device. See Workspace for the full module list.
Your first backtest
Open an Editor module from the toolbar. A fresh Editor tab shows a type picker — choose Strategy, and a starter template loads into the draft. Edit it, then Save to add it to your library. Next, open a Backtest module: in the Configure tab, pick your saved strategy, then set a symbol, interval, and date range. Hit Run — results stream into the Results tab, and every run auto-saves to History. See the Backtest Lab docs for the full walkthrough, including walk-forward validation and parameter sweeps.
Where next
- Scripting — write your first strategy or indicator.
- VectarisQL — the query language behind every data row.
- Brokers — connect your accounts and see what each supports.
